Elton: Good morning and welcome to "Wake Up California". I’m Elton John and this is my
co-host Billy Joel.
Billy: *grunt*
Elton: You don’t look happy this morning Billy. Traffic nightmare on the 10?
Billy: I wish that’s all it was. I don’t think I like living here.
Elton: Why is that?
Billy: That storm we had last week caused a mud slide and my house ended up at the bottom of
the hill. Then the earthquake on Saturday caused the ground to
open up and swallow my car...my cat Mr. Pringles was in that car! *sigh* For the past few nights I’ve been sleeping in a box in front of
the high school.
Elton: Oh Billy, I’m sorry to hear that. I’d offer you a place to stay but I’m in a bit of a bind
myself. There was flooding from that storm and my trailer floated away. What a shame, I had just finished decorating it.
So I've been sleeping in the dressing room here at the studio.
Billy: So it really isn’t a good morning now is it?
Elton: Gee...I guess not.
